The onset of the COVID lock-down in March 2020 triggered the launch of ITS Accounting SA as we know it today. This unprecedented worldwide event was the catalyst that breathed life into a long-anticipated vision of founder Jacques van Rooyen. A perceptive businessman, Jacques expected a distinct shift in the way we do business; this because of technological breakthroughs and the ever – shifting macroeconomic environment in which businesses function.

He long believed that the ability of a business to survive in the face of adversity would rest on embracing two factors: the ability to learn, unlearn and relearn quickly, and to capitalise on efficiency gains inherent within the use of technology.

ITS Accounting had just been formed in early 2020, and in a serendipitous turn of events, the world went into lockdown almost straight after. True to nature, Jacques viewed this as an opportunity to practice and refine systems that supported paperless, remote work of a high standard – incidentally geared towards his vision of embodying the firm of the future. Together with Melissa, the backbone of ITS, and a well vetted team of diligent professionals, ITS surpassed their own expectations and has rapidly expanded in the areas of business advisory, accounting, compliance and taxation.
